NEXT BIG DATE!
Well, our short tour came to an end last night at Alton, where we had a great time with the folks there, who came from various parts of Hampshire, Sussex, and further afield. The night before we were in Wrexham, where we played to a full house of over 800. A huge thank you to all who were involved, especially the event organisers, Chris on sound and the two Sams on lights. It's also been a really fun time meeting and worshipping with lots of new people. So if you managed to get along to one of the gigs, thanks for coming! If not... well, it's actually not too late...
On Saturday 25th November, at CCK, Brighton (my home church), we are doing a special event where we will be performing the whole of the "Monument to Mercy" album with string orchestra, brass band and choir! It's aimed in part at unchurched people (there won't be any preaching, but I'll talk and share my faith a little between songs), but all are welcome. Lou Fellingham will be playing support.
Tickets are at the ridiculously low price of £5, but because of the orchestra, the venue will only hold around 450 people, so get your tickets early. Visit the website www.cck.org.uk to purchase tickets online, or phone the church office (01273 747687).
See you there!

The Wrexham gig was excellent. I know of a great number of people who were blessed by being there. Such hymns full of truth have certainly been blessed by God.

I've just got in from the Monument To Mercy LIVE gig at CCK. It was well worth the seven hour trip from North Wales to Brighton!
The quality of the music was amazing. Dave Fellingham's choir, strings and brass sections made it a particularly memorable evening, and there was the usual high quality service from Lou Fellingham and the Phatfish gang, while Mark Edwards did a great job at the piano.
It was good to be there too to hear Lou's selection from her "Treasure" album before Stuart and the hoards appeared on stage. We were then treated to a very close rendition of Stuart's album "Monument to Mercy", with additional bonus songs "O Church Arise" and "In Christ Alone" to close.
It was a really fun evening, but the real thrill was the focus on the God we adore: the Father whose grace has made us children of a King, the Son who has made this possible by dying in our place, dealing with the wrath that is justly due to us, and the Spirit who helps and strenghthens us each day and assures us of our eternal place in God's kingdom.
We should be so thankful to God for giving such gifted people to his church, who encourage and teach us so clearly from the Bible, and who help us with words to express our love and gratitude to him.
